Learning to Knit

Sweet Emma and her mother were at the Studio today.
Emma and her mom said I could take her photograph.
Look at her knitting!
Her Nannie in Connecticut taught her to knit a few weeks ago.
Mom found our classes and there you have it.
Children are natural knitters.
They are enthusiastic.
Emma says she likes to knit because she lives in a busy house and knitting is quieting.  What a smart girl.
Have you been thinking of teaching a child to knit but feel impatient?
Our Saturday classes are just the thing for eager kids to start and keep knitting.

*****
Babette has just discovered our Studio.
She is an accomplished sweater knitter.
She is knitting a hat in Malabrigo Finito.
She also knit the vest that she is wearing.
Babette, the shadows on the image were not cooperating, so I had to tint the shot of you.
Your happy smile comes right through.
Babette is also working on a brioche project.
She shares brioche is a bit tough to tackle, which is why she brought it in for help today.
You can stop in anytime and we are happy to get you back on track.
Babette knit this beautiful vest that has a front half zip.  The sides are buttoned together.
She could not remember the name of the pattern, but I had to show it to you, anyway.
(Such clever construction)

Finally, have you seen our Lana Grossa yarns?
Roma/Opera is the pattern in Lookbook No.1
Spring Summer 2015.
This elegant top is a runway winner.
You can make it in so many colors.

Our next Knit Night is Friday,
March 20th.
Please call us to reserve your spot.
It is a free evening of knitting and camaraderie.
We hope you'll join us.
